FAQ

The questions I get asked in driveways.

If the answer you need isn’t here, message me before you book rather than after.

On the day

What do you need from me?

An outdoor tap, an outdoor socket, and somewhere off-road to park. I bring everything else.

How long will it take?

Three to four hours. I book it as a four-hour block so the last bit never gets rushed.

Do I need to be there?

Only at the start and the end. Most people leave me to it.

How should I prepare?

Car on the driveway, side gate unlocked, personal bits out of the boot, outside tap on at the mains.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain is fine. If the forecast is bad I'll call the day before and move it — full refund or a new date, your choice.

Booking & money

What does it cost?

€110 for a regular car, €125 for an SUV or seven-seater. Pet hair removal is €15 on top. Nothing else is added.

Why a deposit?

€25 confirms the slot and comes off the total. A no-show costs me a half-day I can't sell.

Can I cancel?

Over 48 hours: full refund. 24–48 hours: held as credit. Under 24 hours or a no-show: deposit kept. If I cancel, you choose refund or reschedule.

How do I pay the balance?

On the day, once you've seen the car.

Do you cover my area?

Anywhere from Arklow to Bray. The areas page has the full town list.

The car

Is my car regular or an SUV?

Anything hatchback or saloon sized is regular — Polo, Golf, Focus, Octavia. Taller, longer or with a third row is the SUV price — Qashqai, Tucson, Pajero, Zafira. Not sure? Pick regular and I'll tell you on the day.

What if I book the wrong size?

The €15 difference is charged on the day, and I'll always say so before starting.

My car is in bad shape. Is that a problem?

A dirty car is the job. Heavy pet hair is the €15 extra. Smoke damage or anything needing several extra hours needs a quote first — send me a photo.

Do you do vans?

Message me first. Vans vary too much for a fixed price, so they're quoted individually.

Happy enough?

Three questions, a slot, and a €25 deposit. That’s the whole booking.
